Happy tax day to everyone in the US! Many businesses are offering tax day freebies and free food to lighten the tax paying load that citizens feel this time of year. Be sure to check them out.
Maggiemoo’s is offering a free scoop of ice-cream. While Metrotainment cafe has a buy one, get one free entree for tax day. On a sweet deal, Dunkin’ Donuts is giving away free donuts when you buy any cup of coffee.
McCormick & Schmick’s
Who says you can’t love the number 1040? Wednesday diners at McCormick & Schmick’s will get a $10.40 certificate for future use. There’ll be $15 to $20 entrees discounted to $10.40. And patrons can choose themed drinks, such as a pint of Samuel Adams Deduction Draft.
Want a free gift card? T.G.I. Friday’s will give Wednesday customers $5 Bonus Bites gift cards for food and beverage purchases of $15 to $25 and $10 cards for those who spend more than $25. Members of the 1,000-outlet chain’s frequent-customer program also will get double points.
The chain is keeping it simple by offering a 15-percent discount for diners on Wednesday.
Taco Del Mar
Out west, restaurant chain Taco Del Mar is offering a ‘Taxes Suck. Tacos Don’t’ promotion. You can register online and have a coupon for a free tax day taco sent to your email.
Maggie Moo’s Ice Cream and Treatery
Get free ice cream! Maggie Moo’s Ice Cream and Treatery will give away single-scoop servings to customers at 200 stores in what it calls an “e-cone-omic ice cream stimulus package.”
Snack chain Cinnabon will give out Tax Day Bites, free bite-size cinnamon rolls usually known as Classic Bites, from 5 to 8 p.m. at its 700 outlets on Wednesday. They’re also offering an essay contest for Tax Day that could win you a $100 gift card! Click here for more info.
McDonalds: Buy one Quarter Pounder with Cheese or Big Mac and get a second sandwich for just one penny.
Papa Johns Pizza: Three free toppings with purchase of a large cheese pizza. Order online and use coupon code “1040″ to get toppings at no additional charge.
P.F. Chang’s China Bistro: Take 15% off your entire bill in what the chain is calling a Tax Relief promotion.
TGIFridays: Tax Day Stress Relief gives you $5 Bites Cards (Gift Card) with $15+ purchase, $10 Bites Card with $25+ purchase. Frequent customer program participants get double points as well.
Chick-Fil-A: Make a purchase and save your receipt. Bring the receipt back within the next 30 days (starting April 16) and you can get the same items free.
Hydromassage: Free Tax Day Massage at participating fitness center or chiropractic office nearest you. Reservations recommended.
Taco Del Mar: Register for an emailed coupon for a free taco at the Taxes Suck. Tacos Don’t promotional page.
Wine.com: Save $10.40 on $99 or more by entering code TAXSAVINGS at checkout.
Walgreen’s: 15% off online orders and contact lenses. Use coupon code “TAXED.” Good though April 20th.
Rite Aid pharmacies in Georgia are offering a free one month supply of more than 300 commonly prescribed maintenance generic drugs when you sign up for the Rite Aid prescription savings card.
And Kroger has a freebie as well. If you register on Kroger.com you can design a recyclable shopping bag as part of a contest Kroger is holding. Enter your Kroger plus card number and your next purchase will include a free Kroger recyclable shopping bag.
Local farm markets are reopening now that spring is here. The Peachtree Road Farmer’s market features organic produce and locally made goods. On the second Saturday of each month there is also a free cooking demonstration from a local chef.
